Modern Thriller vs Old Thriller

Movie Overview

Shutter Island is an American psychological thriller film and directed by Martin Scorsese. Shutter Island is based on a 2003 novel written by Dennis Lehane. The main actors are Leonardo DiCaprio as Teddy, Mark Ruffalo as Chuck and Ben Kingsley as Dr. John. The movie was released in 19 of February 2010.

In 1954, two deputy marshals named Teddy and Chuck were assigned to Shutter Island to investigate the disappearance of a dangerous patient. Teddy had been repeatedly rejected the mission given to the remote island for some reasons, but he wonder whether he been a part of a plot by doctors with radical cures range from unscrupulous to unlawful to downright evil. Teddy's shrewd investigating skills soon shows a promising lead, but the hospital denies him access to records which he believes would break the case wide open. As a hurricane cuts off communication with the mainland, more threatening criminals "escape" in the confusion, and the puzzling, improbable clues multiply, Teddy begins to doubt everything even his past.

Modern Thriller vs Old Thriller

Jaws is a old thriller movie and Shutter Island is a modern thriller movie. In my opinion Old thriller movie like Jaws are more predictable if any events are going to happen and Shutter Island is more unpredictable. Old thriller like Jaws are also more towards action while filming and Modern Thriller like Shutter Island is more towards psychological and there is a plot twisted.
