JAWS ANALYSIS

MOVIE OVERVIEW

Jaws is widely regarded as one of the greatest Hollywood blockbusters. It was directed by Steven Spielberg. Jaws was a very important movie to Steven Spielberg because before Steven Spielberg became one of the well known director, he was a struggling director that was about to go insolvent. It was the movie Jaws that brought him back into the directing business. In this review, I will be reviewing the shooting angles, music and tension of Jaws.

The movie Jaws was made in 1975 based on a novel written by Peter Benchley. Jaws is well known for its superior sound effects, camera shooting angle and special effects that made the movie so realistic and scary. It had won several awards in sound effects and the Jaws iconic theme song was composed by John Williams.

The main actors in Jaws were Roy Scheider played as Chief Martin Brody, Richard Dreyfuss played as Quint and Robert Shaw played as Matt Hooper. In Jaws, Chief Brody is a good policeman that carries a great responsibilities in catching the shark. Quint is a shark hunter that help Brody in hunting the shark for reward money. Hooper is a young and intelligent marine biologist that will help Chief Brody to identified the shark. The Shark is a Great White Shark that is hunting people in Amity Island.

So, Jaws is about a shark that is eating and killing people in Amity island and Chief Martin Brody, Quint and Matt Hooper decided to hunt and kill the shark that was causing the problem to prevent people from getting killed. The best aspect of the movie was to see how the three man got together and be friends. The worst aspect of the movie was how the three man suddenly got attacked by the shark and it just does not make any sense to me.

In my opinion, Jaws is an outstanding thriller to get scared and have fun with your family. When I was watching it, I was scared and having fun at the same time. I hope you do so. Did you know when the movie Jaws was released, it brought a bad economic to beaches all around the world because people were so scared by the movie. The movie original title was ‘Still in the Water.’
